You Have Options! Rent For a Few Hours Or the Whole Day
You can become temporarily certified to operate a boat by taking a short certification course. This takes about 10 minutes and can be done in our Sand Bar lounge on the day of the rental. You only need to complete this course once, and it is valid for 6 months. It is actually a short 10-minute video!

Private Boat Rentals
What greater pleasure is there than being on the water? There are many of you out there that own or have owned boats most of your life. As such, it’s in your nature to want to take a boat out with just you and the family.
Here at Bull River Marina, we understand this and are more than ready to assist.
13′ Boston Whaler
Billed as “The Unsinkable Boat”, these classic vessels make for the perfect rental boat. The hallmarks of this hybrid are Beauty, Dependability, but above all else, SAFETY. Powered by a four stroke 40hp mercury engine, it makes for a quiet and fuel-efficient day on the water. It’s perfect for some “family time”, dolphin tours, or maybe a trip to Little Tybee. Give us a call to book your time before someone else pirates it away!
The 13′ Whaler is our smallest rental boat, but well known for its stability and safety. It’s perfect for 2 people who want to explore the river or head down to Beach Hammock for a day on the beach! The 15′ Whaler is a bit larger than the 13′, with the capability to seat 2 adults and 2 small children. Prepare to be amazed by the marine life as you explore the Bull River, or head down to Little Tybee Island for some fun in the sun!
The Carolina Skiff is great for the larger families or groups who still want to experience the thrill of operating a boat. Able to carry up to 6 people, the skiff will get you anywhere you want to go! Rent by the hour, by the half day, or full day.
For bigger groups, ask about our charter services. Our captains will gladly take you on a tour of the Bull River, down River Street, or over to Daufuskie Island!
Notice To Renters
In July of 2014, The Department of Natural Resources instituted a new policy concerning boat rentals. Effective July 1, 2014, anyone renting a boat must have either a Master’s rating issued by The U.S. Coast Guard or have in hand a Safe Boating course from any other state or Georgia. If you possess neither of these, don’t worry. We can administer a boat rental course here at the marina prior to your rental. Allow for about 20 minutes to take the course and get the paperwork. This can be done in our air-conditioned boaters’ or guestroom the day of or in advance, if you prefer.
