Climb aboard the Montauk Whaler!
What greater pleasure is there than being on the water? There are many of you out there that own or have owned boats most of your life. As such, it’s in your nature to want to take a boat out with just you and the family. It’s perfect for some “family time”, dolphin tours, or maybe a trip to Little Tybee. Book your time before someone else pirates it away!
All rentals limited to a 5 mile area from the Bull River Bridge, south to Little Tybee. No open ocean access.

*You can become temporarily certified to operate a boat by taking a short certification course. This takes about 10 minutes and can be done in our Sand Bar lounge on the day of the rental. You only need to complete this course once, and it is valid for 6 months. It is actually a short 10-minute video! Boater Safety Video
In July of 2014, The Department of Natural Resources instituted a new policy concerning boat rentals. Effective July 1, 2014, anyone renting a boat must have either a Master’s rating issued by The U.S. Coast Guard or have in hand a Safe Boating course from any other state or Georgia. If you possess neither of these, don’t worry. You can watch the required boat rental video online prior to your rental. Once you arrive allow for about 10 minutes to watch the video and a few minutes to complete and sign a safety check list pertaining to the video stating you have watched the required video and understand the information provided. Please follow this link to view the rental safety video in it’s entirety. Boater Safety Video
